Christine Feehan's Dark Symphony

large print hardcover, 587pp., fantasy romance

Reading this selection from Ms. Feehan’s Carpathian Universe was baffling to me.  Plus, the pace is a little slow for my taste— I think Ms. Feehan spent too much time developing the characters of the story and not enough time solving the mystery.

I loved how Antonietta, the heroine, is a very cool and very laid back person, however, I find the hero, Byron, less impressive.  I find his ability to manipulate others kinda creepy, and I’m disappointed that Ms. Feehan chose not to address the ethics of using mental manipulation.

I hope my next choice for the 52 books will be better.
