Screenshot for an Outdated Link

Good morning.

This is a screenshot of an outdated link on my blog post for August 31, 2006.  Essentially, the author of this post, shares my distaste for bugs, and why they must die:  They give me the heebie-jeebies.  My skin crawls just talking about it.

Quick Screenshot of an Outdated Link

Good morning.

This is a screen shot I nabbed from the Internet Wayback Machine

The original link is no longer valid.  Therefore, I’m offering this brief snapshot of the original post I linked to in my August 31, 2006 post instead of trying to find another link that explains exactly why the “Anonymous Lawyer” was both completely entertaining, and completely horrible at the same time.

I’ve included the entire address in red at the top of the screen shot.  It is not clickable because it is part of the graphic that is the screenshot.  In short, “Ernie the Lawyer,” explains how he met the creator of “Anonymous Lawyer,” Jeremy Blachman, what he thought of him (liked him immensely), and why he thought the fictional blog was so compelling to everyone who read it.

If you clicked on my link for “Anonymous Lawyer,” then you already know that the blog is frozen:  meaning you can still look at it, but it is no longer updated, and most likely will not be updated in the forseeable future.

Quick Post About My Day!

Good Morning!

I want to mention two things:

First, I’m happy to discover I have at least 1 follower: Tommy Kane!  Hello!  *I wave madly*

If you look at the ART section of my blogroll (which I have affectionately named OPB— yeah you know me&mdash ;)  ), you can click on his link to the blog and check it out.  I’d do it here, but I’m kinda short on time: I’m going to vote.  I discovered Mr. Kane after reading about him on another blog: “by Danny Gregory.”  Awesome pictures!

VA  Second, as I already mentioned, I’m going out to vote.  I already know who I’ll be voting for, but I’m skeptical about him winning this fair state of VA.  My local news channel is already reporting problems with the machines in a near-by city, and the voters will have to vote by hand:  methinks that those pieces of paper will suddenly go missing.  But, hey, that’s just the cynic in me.  (shrug)

Okay, I’m off to cast my vote.  If I’m in and out, I’ll try and post an update, later today. Otherwise, it’ll have to wait until this weekend

Thoughts About Katrina

It is a crying shame that there is so much blame to going around. I would think the government would spend more time getting the Mississippi Valley, Alabama and New Orleans back on it’s feet. Here is one person’s response:

My mom says that we have cousins who lives outside the New Orleans Area. My second cousin is going out to check on them as soon as possible. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected, and I hope my family is all right.

UPDATE:  2010-10-03-913TZ-400

Good evening. I’ve removed the links to the webpages above because, sadly, aol has chosen to completely remove its entire archive of aoljournals.  I'm sure if you enter the above links into the Internet Wayback Machine, you will find out what Mr. Scalzi posted.
